Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of Oikos, a household finance application provided by Erasmus Digital, Inc. (“Erasmus Digital”, “we”, “us”), at oikos.financial and app.oikos.financial. By using Oikos you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
1. The service
Oikos organizes the financial statements and information you provide into a household ledger and dashboard. Oikos is currently in private preview: access is by invitation, features may change, and the service may be interrupted.
2. Your account
- Accounts are created by invitation from Erasmus Digital or your household's account owner.
- You must keep your password and sign-in methods secure. Oikos requires multi-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@oikos.financial if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Your information
You keep ownership of the statements and information you provide. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Oikos to you and your household, as described in the privacy policy. You confirm you have the right to provide it.
4. Not financial advice
Oikos presents information derived from your statements. It does not provide investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Figures such as estimated home and vehicle values are estimates. Check important figures against your original statements and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Oikos: no attempts to access other households' information, interfere with the service, reverse engineer it, or use it for unlawful purposes.
6. SMS terms: Oikos sign-in codes
Program. Oikos sign-in codes, operated by Erasmus Digital, Inc. If you add a mobile number to your Oikos account and agree to receive text messages, we text you a one-time code when you sign in and when you confirm the number.
Frequency. Message frequency varies with how often you sign in. Messages contain only codes and account security notices, never marketing.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Oikos does not charge for these messages.
Help and opting out. Reply HELP for help, or STOP to stop receiving messages; you will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. Reply START to resubscribe. You can also remove your number in Oikos under Sign-in security. If you stop text messages, you can sign in with an authenticator app or an e-mail code instead.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Optional. Text messages are optional and are not a condition of using Oikos or of any purchase.
Privacy. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See our privacy policy.
Any future marketing text messages will be a separate program that requires its own, separate consent.
7. Fees
Oikos is provided without charge during the private preview. We will give notice and ask for your agreement before introducing any fees.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features or the service. If we discontinue Oikos, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your household's information where practical.
9. Disclaimers
Oikos is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, Erasmus Digital disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of information derived from your statements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Erasmus Digital will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Oikos. Our total liability for any claim relating to Oikos is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Oikos in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
11. Termination
You may stop using Oikos at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other users.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will tell account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use Oikos after that means you accept the updated terms.
